• Fredericksburg Art Gallery, Fredericksburg Texas - Mike will be one of featured artists in the first annual "Art Lovers' Show & Sale", February 8th - March 8th. The show features 75 new paintings in oil and acrylic by twenty-five nationally and regionally acclaimed artists. • Roosters Expresso Café, Amarillo, Texas - Mike is the featured artist at Roosters, Bell Ave. & 34th Street, for the month of February.
• Highland Art Guild, Marble Falls, Texas - Mike will present a program for the Guild February 21 from 9 am to noon. He will also teach a Painting Process Workshop for the Guild, February 25-27. See Workshops below for details.
March
• Midland Arts Association, Midland, Texas - Mike will judge the Midland Arts Association’s 2008 30th Annual Spring Show in collaboration with the Museum of the Southwest, March 6, 2008. Mike will also teach a Portrait Workshop for the Association, March 6-8. See Workshops below.

Pastel Painting Workshop -5 days, July 21-25 at Cloudcroft Art Workshops, Cloudcroft, New Mexico. On Sunday evening, July 20, at 6:00 pm, CAW will host a pre-workshop reception. Located high in Lincoln National Forest and described by Fodor's Travel Guide as an "undiscuovered paradise", Cloudcroft has been hosting art workshops for over 50 years. CAW was rated No. 1 of art workshops in New Mexico in 2007.
Mike is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America and will introduce a proven a step-by-step painting process using hard and soft pastels. He will focus on using the correct materials and the 7 principles of painting that must be mastered for successful painting. This workshop is beginner friendly, but will challenge even the most experienced artist. You will learn how to achieve accuracy but with that spontaneous and fresh look for which pastels are famous.
